In the context of professional maintenance organizations, "PM" is a widely-used term which stands for Preventive Maintenance, defined nicely here as "the regular and routine maintenance of equipment and assets in order to keep them running and prevent any costly unplanned downtime from unexpected equipment failure." My fingertips spent a lot of time cleaning during this process (might I estimate a 50% time adder to the actual maintenance tasks) which I just know doesn't happen at a shop. So, as a side bonus, Badger's hard-to-reach places, components, and innards are about as clean as they've been since he left Mattighofen.
Major thanks to the knowledge-sharing gurus on the interwebz -- mainly AdvRider's "Hard. Core." KTM forum, and YouTube -- for a lot of assists. I'll try to pay it back by helping others when I'm able.
Let's ride!
