I was up at a respectable hour and set off for a morning errand run with naked-Badger, ticking off:

My objective of the day was to shamelessly navigate to and fro through the best moto roads of NW Montana, without so much regard for homeward progress, and with no plan for how it would end (stick near Eureka for a direct border crossing up into BC, or head back southeast towards Whitefish to try again the Going-to-the-Sun Road tomorrow and then cross into Alberta?). Ah, let's go for a ride, and I'm sure I'll figure it out!
The day's highlights included the road to Yaak, the place of Yaak, the road from Yaak, the lakeside roads up and down both sides of Lake Koocanusa, its elegant bridge and impressive dam... all interconnected by Butler Maps G3-, G2-, and G1-rated twisty, paved backroads. I'll leave the details to the photo captions, since I look to have amassed a full 6x6 gallery today.
To close the day, I sat for half an hour outside the Conoco station eating an ice cream and rehydrating while waiting for Badger's tank to vent (that's another story), deciding whether to call it a day or put in an evening shift. I then had my ear talked off by the friendly Christopher, originally of northern New Joisey and formerly an owner of the last-ever model of chain-drive Harley Davidson, but now of a 20-acre lot in the woods outside of Eureka, Montana with no house and unlimited PMA.
