I rigged my camera on a pannier to try for some rolling shots. This isn't really a picture of anything, but right now it's my favourite of the whole trip. I made a lucky mistake by inadvertently leaving my ND filter on since Alexandra Falls, which would've helped enhance this motion capture.
Breathe easy, legions of fanatical followers, no whining about cold hands today! It was a balmy +8 setting out from High Level this morning, so I had only philosophical contemplation of free hotel breakfasts to occupy the mental portion of the day's first tank of gas.
I made frequent stops to start the day -- at the border, then the falls, then Enterprise for gas, then Fort Providence again -- and then ground the last 300 km home solid, with time afforded throughout for photographic distraction. Psychologically, it was a much easier day than yesterday -- no traffic to speak of, and the lure of my own bed at the end -- and although it was uneventful and familiar ground, I had fun behind the bug-drenched shield.
Today's wildlife: Two red foxes north of High Level, and two bison. All loners.
I was blessed with marvelous weather all the way.
Final thoughts to come...
